Discover Himalayan Bliss with a Tirthan Valley Package
Are you tired of busy city life and ready for a stress-free experience in the Himalayas? A Tirthan Valley package is your best bet for untouched nature, rustic charm, and chill vibes. Located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, Tirthan Valley is a little off the beaten path from major tourist spots—although still accessible—which makes it an ideal destination for the curious traveler searching for another nature experience off the normal track!
Why is Tirthan Valley the experience you are looking for?
Compared to the heavily commercialized hill stations of our time, Tirthan Valley is still authentic. It's an untouched canvas of nature with beautiful deodar forests, alpine meadows, and majestic rivers, making it an incredible experience for nature lovers, adventurers, and slow travelers.
Today I am sharing my experiences in Tirthan Valley, which I discovered in 2018. This area is off the beaten path for travelers who may typically stay in Manali or, to a lesser extent, Kasol, as well as being away from the famous Shimla, Kullu, and Manali districts.
Some highlights of the region include:
- Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP) – a UNESCO World Heritage Site that offers incredible biodiversity, such as snow leopards, rare Himalayan birds that winter in the region, and untouched alpine land.
- Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake – an amazing highland destination that has excellent scenery and some spectacular treks.
-Chhoie Waterfall and Chehni Kothi- some amazing hidden gems that are lovely day hikes with views that will totally help your Insta game.
-Gushaini and Jibhi – picturesque villages with rustic camping and stays in lovely apple orchards by the rivers.

Best Time to Visit Tirthan Valley
March to June – Ideal for an expanse of spring flowers, sunny greenery, and blue skies.
September to November – The time for fresh post-monsoon greens before the crowds.
July–August – Bad idea due to landslides, slippery trails, and transport disruptions during the monsoon.
How do I get to Tirthan Valley?
By road: drive or take a taxi from Delhi or Chandigarh (~500 km, ~12 hrs).
By bus: take a Volvo bus to Aut (nearest drop-off), then grab a cab to Gushaini or Jibhi (~1-2 hours).
By train/air: the nearest train station is Joginder Nagar; the nearest airport is Bhuntar (~50 km).
Tip: the roads are scenic but windy—take motion sickness meds if you're the kind that gets sick.
Why book a Tirthan Valley package holiday?
Travel planning across remote Himalayan locations can be challenging. Booking a package ensures:
Local knowledge, experience, and safety.
Less stress around transport or staying, as everything has been done for you.
Handpicked experiences/exploration/exposure to local culture, say with a village tour, trout fishing in the summer, and walking through nature.
Moreover, you will be facilitating local communities, sustainable tourism, and eco-sensitive travel when booking with ethical operators.
Lastly,
Tirthan Valley is more than a place; it’s a feeling, a place to retreat with your soul and nature, whether you want to trek, chill, or take a break from everything. A Tirthan Valley package that fits your needs will provide a smooth ride exploring this Himalayan hideaway.
